Energy

Our national power situation is precarious.

In recent years it has been driven by virtue-signalling and ideology as opposed to solid science and engineering.

It's precarious because we've committed too much to weather-dependent variables on this island. When the wind blows strongly, we can end up paying suppliers NOT to supply power we cannot use. When the wind dies down, we risk under-producing, with threats of power cuts. All this is wasteful and imprudent, unnecessarily so.

There is a solution. We urgently need short-term and long-term energy storage to stabilise the country's power infrastructure. The technology is available. Let's do it.
